Yasujirō Ozu (小津安二郎, 'Ozu Yasujirō'?, Tokio, 12 de diciembre de 1903-ibidem, 12 de diciembre de 1963) fue un director de cine japonés. [1] Su trayectoria se desarrolló desde los años 1920, en el cine mudo, hasta sus últimas películas en color en los años 1960.
Yasujirō Ozu (小津 安二郎, Ozu Yasujirō, 12 December 1903 – 12 December 1963) was a Japanese filmmaker. He began his career during the era of silent films, and his last films were made in colour in the early 1960s. Ozu first made a number of short comedies, before turning to more serious themes in the 1930s.
Yasujirô Ozu. Writer: Tokyo Story. Tokyo-born Yasujiro Ozu was a movie buff from childhood, often playing hooky from school in order to see Hollywood movies in his local theatre. In 1923 he landed a job as a camera assistant at Shochiku Studios in Tokyo.

No es 'Cuentos de Tokyo', ni falta que le hace: su restauración en 4K nos permite ver con claridad que siempre fue una excelente película por sí misma.
