Bulstrode is an English country house and its large park, located to the southwest of Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The estate spreads across Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross and Fulmer, and predates the Norman conquest. Its name may originate from the Anglo-Saxon words burh (marsh) and stród (fort). [1]

Bulstrode Park. Gerrard's Cross, Buckinghamshire. Rebuilt in 1865, for Lord Edward Seymour (1804-1885), 12th Duke of Somerset, and his wife Georgiana Sheridan (1809-1884), Duchess of Somerset. It replaced a 17th-century manor built by the notorious "Hanging Judge" George Jeffreys.
12 de mar. de 2016 · Bulstrode is a large park and mansion and lies on the western edge of Gerrards Cross adjacent to the A40. There is pedestrian access to the park from the end of Main Drive as well as Hedgerley Lane and from the house or mansion grounds.
A number of follies have been built in the park over the years, including the two-story brick Pigeon House of 1805 (designed by James Wyatt and featuring open arches, battlements, and polygonal corner towers), the Shell Museum, the Menagerie, the Turkish Pavilion, and the grotto.
