Stalker (en ruso: Сталкер; conocida en algunos países de habla hispana como La Zona) es una película soviética de ciencia ficción de 1979 dirigida por Andréi Tarkovski. Está basada –en términos generales– en el libro Picnic extraterrestre de los hermanos Arkadi y Borís Strugatski .
El hombre despierta sobresaltado y les quita la PDA de las manos, dejando a la vista un tatuaje con las siguientes siglas: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Este hombre es el protagonista del juego. Stalker se refiere a los "acechadores", las personas que se va encontrando a lo largo de la aventura.
