St Michael's Church, Coxwold. Since 700 AD Coxwold has had a church at the top of the hill. The present church was built in 1420 in the Perpendicular style with an unusual octagonal west tower and is dedicated to St Michael.
St Michael's is a Perpendicular-style 15th century church, replacing earlier buildings on the same site. There is an unusual octagonal tower and the chancel is of later build. The interior of the building is more Georgian than medieval in feel, with a flat oak ceiling and box pews.
