Philippe III 1, dit « le Hardi », né le 1er mai 1245 à Poissy et mort le 5 octobre 1285 à Perpignan, est roi de France de 1270 à 1285 ; il est le dixième souverain de la dynastie dite des Capétiens directs. Il était le second fils du roi de France Louis IX, dit « Saint Louis », et de son épouse Marguerite de Provence .

OUR HISTORY. 1342 PHILIPPE LE HARDI, DUKE OF BURGUNDY. Born on 17 January 1342, Philippe was the son of King Jean II of France (John the Good) and Bonne of Luxembourg, and became known as Philippe Le Hardi (Philip the Bold) due to his courage at the Battle of Poitiers in 1356.
