Biografía. Hoffman asistió a la Universidad de Arizona. Después de graduarse se mudó a Los Ángeles, California para comenzar una carrera como actor. Su primer papel fue como guardia de seguridad en El complot (1997). Estaba tan nervioso que dijo mal sus dos líneas.
