27 de ago. de 2023 · English: The House of Orléans is a cadet branch of the House of Bourbon, descending in male-line from Philippe of France, Duke of Orléans who received his title in 1661. He was the second son of Louis XIII of France and Anne of Austria when they held the rank of princes of the blood.
Orléans is located in the northern bend of the Loire, which crosses from east to west. Orléans belongs to the vallée de la Loire sector between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes-sur-Loire, which was in 2000 inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
