John Dudley, 2nd Earl of Warwick was born before 1528. 2 He was the son of John Dudley, 1st Duke of Northumberland and Jane Guilford. He married Lady Anne Seymour, daughter of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset and Anne Stanhope, on 3 June 1550. 1 He died on 21 October 1554, executed for treason, without issue. 1

27 de may. de 2024 · John Dudley began as a soldier, made a reputation for jousting, was knighted in 1523, helped to put down the Pilgrimage of Grace, and became deputy governor of Calais in 1538. In 1542 he was made warden of the Scottish marches, served as lord admiral, was created Viscount Lisle in turn, and in 1544 captured Boulogne from the French.
