Ronald Frederick Lane was an English musician and songwriter who is best known as the bass guitarist and founding member of Small Faces and subsequently Faces . Lane formed Small Faces in 1965 after meeting Steve Marriott, with whom he subsequently wrote many of their hit singles including "All or Nothing", "Itchycoo Park" and "Lazy Sunday".
