While there is nothing inherently wrong with this Al Franken documentary, it is mostly all "so-what" tame and feels rather insignificant as if God has decided not to speak to anybody after all. As it played out, I failed to see 'Al Franken - God Spoke' do anything in a new , unusual or risky manner as it played every hand it had been dealt in the safest of ways.
15 de may. de 2007 · Al Franken: God Spoke was pretty short and, while somewhat redundant, these scenes could've made for a fuller viewing experience. I am a bit disappointed by the lack of a commentary track.
Al Franken was the cornerstone of Air America radio, where his talent lost no punch in the theater of the mind. As a bonus, I discovered Thom Hartmann, who replaced Franken when he left to run for the Senate and has become one of my favorite talk show hosts. Some of the above is in AL FRANKEN: GOD SPOKE and some isn't.

29 de ago. de 2006 · Al Franken: God Spoke doesn’t work as a film but it is illustrative, corroborative even, of the political left’s politeness when it comes to fighting right-wing monsters like Ann Coulter and Bill O’Reilly. Franken is, quite simply, too nice.
