The Hon. Gerald David Lascelles was the younger son of Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood, and his wife, Mary, Princess Royal, the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary. He was a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. He was married at St. Margaret's, Westminster on July 15, 1952 to Angela Dowding, with whom he had issue one son.
