During the 1960s and 70s Narciso Yepes was considered one of the greatest living guitarists, competing in the popularity stakes with Andrès Segovia. This new recording features two recordings which helped to the career of this incredible Spanish guitarist: Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” and the music from René Clément’s famous film “Jeux Interdits”.
15 de jul. de 2022 · Narciso Yepes was one of the finest virtuoso classical guitarists of the twentieth century, generally ranked second after Andrés Segovia. Despite a strong interest in music from the Baroque period, his overwhelming preference was for the serious compositions of Spanish composers from the early twentieth century, though he also showed interest in flamenco music.
