Biography. Dakin Matthews was born in Oakland, California on November 7, 1943. He has four children with his wife actress/director, Anne Marie McNaughton, who directed Dakin's play "The Prince of L.A." at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre in September, 2005. He is a former teacher, he has a degree in theology and studied at the Vatican.
