While attending Brown University in Rhode Island, actor Don Haggerty was a star athlete. From there, he went on to serve in the United States military. His rugged athleticism would later come to serve him well in his career as a B-movie actor, where he would often play the roles of rough cowboys, ruthless mob men, macho policemen, sheriffs, and soldiers.
