Karl Ferdinand von Buol (German: Karl Ferdinand Graf von Buol-Schauenstein; 17 May 1797 – 28 October 1865) was an Austrian diplomatist and statesman, who served as Foreign Minister of Austrian Empire from 1852 to 1859.

BUOL-SCHAUENSTEIN, Karl Ferdinand, conte von. Diplomatico austriaco, nato il 17 maggio 1797, morto a Vienna il 28 ottobre 1865. Fu un diplomatico della scuola del Metternich. An uncle of the Austrian diplomat Karl Ferdinand Graf von Buol-Schauenstein, Buol-Schauenstein was first ordained as a priest at Chur on 14 June 1783. He was elected prince-bishop on 22 January 1794; his confirmation followed on 12 September 1794, and he was consecrated as such on 5 October 1794. In 1810, Buol joined the Order of Knights of Malta.
