Famous Pirate: Edward England. Merciful Pirate. He was born in Ireland. His real name was Edward Seegar. Edward England's career as a pirate began while he was working on a sloop as a first mate. During a trip from Jamaica to Providence, the ship was taken by a pirate Captain Winter. Soon after, he gained pirates confidence and became one of them.

Edward England was an Irish pirate who operated in the Caribbean, the Eastern Atlantic, and the Indian Ocean between 1717 and 1720 during the Golden Age of Piracy (1690-1730). Captain England’s successful but brief pirate career came to an end when he was marooned by his crew on the island of Mauritius in 1720.

Edward England, nascido Edward Seegar, foi um célebre pirata irlandês que atuou no oceano Índico e na costa da África de 1717 e 1720. Entre os navios no qual navegou estão o Pearl (que ele renomeou de The Royal James ) e, posteriormente, o Fancy , pelo qual o pirata England trocou o Pearl em 1720.
