Christian Ernst of Brandenburg-Bayreuth (6 August 1644 in Bayreuth – 20 May 1712 in Erlangen) was a member of the House of Hohenzollern and Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. He was the only son of Erdmann August, Hereditary Margrave ( Erbmarkgraf ) of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, by his wife and first cousin, Sophie of Brandenburg-Ansbach.
Erdmann August von Brandenburg-Bayreuth, Erbprinz von Brandenburg-Bayreuth, was born 8 October 1615 in Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany to Christian von Brandenburg-Bayreuth (1581-1655) and Marie von Preußen (1579-1649) and died 6 February 1651 Hof, Bavaria, Germany of unspecified causes.
Erdmann August himself died four years later, aged thirty-five, in the middle of the preparations of his wedding with Sophie Agnes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Because he predeceased his father, his son Christian Ernst succeeded as Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth in 1655.
