Figlia (m. 1384) di Mastino II. Sposò nel 1350 Bernabò Visconti, sul quale esercitò notevole influenza. Alla morte del fratello Cansignorio ottenne la sua eredità privata. Nel 1381 fece erigere a Milano la chiesa di S. Maria della Scala, sulla cui area sorse nel 1776-78 il teatro omonimo.
