  6. 17 de jul. de 2022 · RAF Cranwell is located near Sleaford in Lincolnshire, England. RAF Cranwell was founded in 1916 as a training school for the RNAS. The base is home to the Royal Air Force College, which trains officers for service in the RAF. RAF Cranwell is controlled by No. 22 Group (Training). RAF College Cranwell is also an RAF recruitment centre.

  7. He became RAF College Commandant on 1st November 1926 in rank the of Air Commodore, but was promoted to Air Vice Marshal whilst in post on 1st July 1928. He retired around 1930, but subsequently served in the rank of Group Captain in the RAF’s personnel department during WW2. Born 27 May 1880. Died 17 October 1965.
