Add to that, Sherk's last trip to the Octagon was all the way back at UFC 119 in September 2010 and people start to wonder if he will ever be back in the UFC .

Sherk was a lifelong athlete--he began wrestling when he was seven years old--and turned to professional fighting in 1999, two years before the UFC took its first crack at a lightweight division.
Sean Keith Sherk (born August 5, 1973) is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC Lightweight Champion. Sherk competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and was one of the first combatants to have been a championship competitor in multiple weight divisions (having also competed for the UFC Welterweight Championship).
