In the early years of the school’s history, this would appear to have eaten up much of Lyon’s efforts – with the maintenance of the road getting the better share of Lyon’s assets when he passed away in 1592.

Harrow School. Harrow School is one of four remaining full boarding, all boys schools left in the UK. As you'd expect from a school like this, entrance is highly competitive: roughly 600 pupils apply for 160 places at age 13.
