The Fundació Mies van der Rohe celebrates the 137th anniversary of the birth of the designer and architect Lilly Reich, co-author of the German Pavilion in Barcelona, with the opening of the 3rd call for applications for the Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture for academic research.
Lilly Reich nasceu em Berlim em 1885. Em 1908 partiu para Viena para trabalhar na Wiener Werkstätte, uma comunidade de artistas, designers e arquitectos. Regressou a Berlin em 1911, onde passou a trabalhar como designer de mobiliário e moda. Nesta altura também trabalhou como decoradora de montras.
