5 de sept. de 2023 · The Memphis Belle paint scheme also included various markings that indicated the plane’s achievements and missions. These markings included bomb symbols to represent the number of successful missions completed, as well as symbols depicting enemy aircraft shot down.
28 de oct. de 2014 · It's not damage repair. The vertical tail is a different color due to the fact that that piece was produced by a sub contractor, very common to all B-17's then. Not hard to reproduce, general OD over NG base cammo, maybe a darker shade of OD for the vertical tail section, then medium green splotches. Quote.
