She was a daughter of Christian Wilhelm , Prince of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen (1647-1721) and Countess Antonie Sybille of Barby-Muhlingen (1641-1684). She was the third wife of Duke Adolf Friedrich II of Mecklenburg. =====

Duke Charles Louis Frederick of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (23 February 1708 – 5 June 1752) was a member of the Strelitz branch of the House of Mecklenburg. He was the father to Queen Charlotte of the United Kingdom and Hanover and Duke Adolphus Frederick IV of Mecklenburg-Strelitz .
Life. Charles was born in Strelitz, the only son of the reigning Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Adolphus Frederick II, and his third wife, Princess Christiane Emilie of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. His father died when he was only three months old. His half-brother succeeded Charles's father as Adolphus Frederick III, Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
