The Portal Monument of Varna is located on one of Varna’s main streets (about a 10-15-minute walk from the city council). You can see the names of all almost 2,500 fallen engraved with gold around the portal.

Muttergottes-Kathedrale. Das Herz von Varna ist die gigantische Muttergottes-Kathedrale, die zwar nicht so imposant wie die Alexander-Newski-Kathedrale in Sofia ist, aber dennoch eine der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten in Varna darstellt. Sie stammt aus dem Jahre 1896 und besitzt eigentlich den Namen „Entschlafung-der-Gottesmutter-Kathedrale“.
