She was born Princess Anna Feodora Auguste Charlotte Wilhelmine of Leiningen on December 7, 1807, in Amorbach, Principality of Leiningen, now in Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of Emich Carl, 2nd Prince of Leiningen and Princess Victoire of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.

El cuarto hijo de Jorge III, Eduardo, se casó con Victoria de Sajonia-Coburgo-Saalfeld, viuda del duque de Leiningen —con el que había tenido dos hijos, Carlos y Feodora—, y hermana del viudo de Carlota, Leopoldo de Sajonia-Coburgo-Gotha. De este casamiento nació en 1819 una hija llamada Alejandrina Victoria.
Biography. Daughter of Emich Carl, Prince of Leiningen, by Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, later Duchess of Kent and mother of Queen Victoria. Feodora was a half sister to Victoria. Married in 1828 Ernst, Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.
