Charles Stanhope, fourth Earl of Harrington (1780-1851), eldest son of the third earl, was born at Harrington House, St. James's, on 8 April 1780. He obtained an ensigncy in the Coldstream guards in December 1795, and in November 1799 became captain in the Prince of Wales's light dragoons.

Leicester Stanhope was born in Dublin in 1784, the third son of Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington, and Jane Stanhope, Countess of Harrington. Career. Stanhope became a Cornet and Sublieutenant in the 1st Regiment of Life Guards on 1 October 1799. He was promoted lieutenant on 20 October 1802.

Charles Wyndham Stanhope, 7th Earl of Harrington (16 August 1809 – 26 June 1881) was an English peer. Charles was the son of the Rev. Hon. Fitzroy Henry Richard Stanhope (24 Apr 1787 – 11 Apr 1864), son of Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington , and Caroline Wyndham (d. 11 Feb 1876), illegitimate daughter of Hon. Charles Wyndham.
