Mary Anne Disraeli, 1st Viscountess Beaconsfield (née Evans; 11 November 1792 – 15 December 1872) was a British peeress and society figure who was the wife of the British statesman Benjamin Disraeli.
11 de ene. de 1994 · Benjamin Disraeli met Mary Anne Wyndham Lewis at a soiree at Bulwer Lytton's house on 27 April 1832. She was 12 years his senior and was married to one of his parliamentary colleagues, Wyndham Lewis.

He was her second husband; she was the widow of Wyndham Lewis, who had loaned Disraeli money for election expenses at the start of his political career when he stood for a seat in Maidstone in 1837 but who died in 1838.
Mary Anne has already been the subject of two biographies (in 1928 and 1972), but by sifting through the Disraeli archives, particularly the under-exploited 10,000 documents relating to Mary Anne, Hay has reclaimed her reputation with a light touch and much glorious detail.
