  2. It began as the mechanical engineering faculty of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic Institute in 1930. It was renamed the Ivanovo Power Engineering Institute in 1992. Undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs are available in thermal power engineering, electromechanics, electrical power engineering, computer engineering, physics, economics, and management at the university.
