Introduction. Lady Feodora Gleichen was the daughter of Lady Laura Wilhelmina Seymour (1833-1912) and Count Victor Gleichen — Admiral HSH Prince Victor Ferdinand Franz Eugen Gustaf Adolf Constantin Friedrich of Hohenlohe-Langenburg GCB (1833-91) — the son of Queen Victoria's half sister, who created the statue of Queen Victoria at Royal Holloway College.
Lady Helena Emily Gleichen OBE DStJ (1 February 1873 – 28 January 1947) was a British painter of landscapes, flowers, and animals, with a particular passion for horses. [ citation needed ] During World War I , she served as an ambulance driver and radiographer in France and Italy, where she was given the rank of major in the army. [1]
