Dorotea von Medem ( 3 de febrer de 1761 - 20 d'agost de 1821), va ser duquessa consort de Curlàndia i Semigàlia. (ca) Dorothea von Medem (Anna Šarlota Dorothea von Medem, 3. února 1761, – 20. srpna 1821, ) se narodila v v tehdejším Kuronsko-zemgalském vévodství.

7 de abr. de 2024 · (Anna Charlotte) Dorothea von Medem was born a Gräfin (Countess) of the noble German Baltic Medem family and later became Duchess of Courland (a Baltic region). Popularly known as Dorothea of Courland after her marriage to Peter von Biron, the last Duke of Courland, she hosted an aristocratic salon in Berlin and performed various diplomatic duties on behalf of her estranged husband.

There is one also at Rundāle’s palace – a copy from the early 19th century, which is not in high quality. Count Theodore von Medem in France recently sent to Mr Lancmanis a photo of a very good copy of this painting that Theodore inherited from his father. He comes from the Medem line of Vecauce (Alt-Autz) and Remte.
