Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a Russian policeman sent after a Georgian drug dealer who has escaped to the United States and is awaiting extradition in Chicago. Jim Belushi plays his temporary partner on the Chicago police. When the drug dealer escapes, the two police must overcome their differences in order to recapture him.
Red Heat is a fairly generic buddy cop thriller starring Arnie and Jim Belushi. The chemistry between the two isn't the strongest, and Walter Hill's direction of the film is a little flat. The story is fine while it lasted, and the gunplay action scenes were fine, but there's probably no danger of me watching it again.
17 de jun. de 1988 · Unfortunately, Red Heat isn't half as enjoyable as the earlier film, owing to a lack of rapport between the two leading men and an overall lack of inspiration infecting the whole project. The one notable aspect of Red Heat is that it was the first commercial American film to stage scenes in Moscow's Red Square.
