Johnny Eck made his mark in the world of entertainment when he acted in "Freaks" (1932). In 1923, he made his first appearance in a sideshow. In 1932, he made the first of three uncredited appearances in Tarzan films with "Tarzan The Ape Man."

He was one of the greatest sideshow acts of his era, and as an actor made an unforgettable appearance in Tod Browning's 1932 film "Freaks."
