A delegation of journalists attended the memorial service at his home in Hartland Four Corners, Vermont, read from his books and watched an excerpt from Tell the Truth and Run: George Seldes and the American Press, a documentary in progress. The documentary was produced and directed by Rick Goldsmith and premiered the following year, in 1996.
George Seldes (1890-1995) was a knowledgeable, tough journalist. His book titled TELL THE TRUTH AND RUN is a history of honesty vs. "The Truth Telling Squads." Seldes was too honest for the "apprenhensively conventintal" which obviously led to confrontation and, at times, dangerous situations.
