Hew Strachan is Emeritus Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford University and is Professor of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. Prior to that he was Chichele Professor of the History of War at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of All Souls College from 2002–2015, and Director of the Oxford Programme on the Changing Character of War from 2003–2012.
