Titian’s early works retain the influence of Giorgione but he soon developed a distinctive use of light and colour and his paintings are bathed with a tonal atmosphere while making use of innovative compositions. A prolific painter, Titian was outstanding in a range of genres including religious and mythological paintings and portraiture.

10 de jun. de 2003 · El Museo del Prado presenta la mayor exposición sobre Tiziano que se celebra desde la organizada en Venecia en 1935, además de la primera antológica que se dedica al pintor en España. Con 65 obras en total, la exposición cuenta con más de treinta pinturas que no se han visto nunca en nuestro país; como La Venus de Urbino, que se exhibe fuera de Italia por primera vez en su historia.
22 de nov. de 2023 · El uso del pincel de Tiziano se volvió considerablemente más libre a partir de finales de la década de 1550, y sus representaciones de la realidad se volvieron menos detalladas. Tiziano, que ya era muy anciano, experimentó con la abstracción en su arte a fines de la década de 1560 y principios de la década de 1570.
