スターリング・ポンド （英: pound sterling ）は、イギリスの通貨。 通貨単位としてのポンドは、本国を旧宗主国とするイギリス連邦諸国で用いられ、エジプトなどでは現在も用いられているが、単にポンドというと通常イギリスのポンドのことを示す。
Als valuta is het pond afgeleid van de gewichtseenheid troy pound. De Sterling werd in 1158 door Hendrik II van Engeland geïntroduceerd. Het woord komt van het Oudfranse woord esterlin en betekent 'sterk' of 'standvastig'. (Sommige bronnen beweren dat het woord afkomstig is van pound oesterling: een munt uit Oostenrijk/Duitsland.)

Sterling banknotes are official currency in the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and Tristan da Cunha. One pound is equivalent to 100 pence. Three British Overseas Territories also have currencies called pounds which are at par with (worth equal to) the pound sterling.
