This was Cilla’s first project away from the BBC; she portrayed a range of female roles from Mrs. Average Housewife (mid-’70s style) to a temp fending off the amorous advances of her latest boss, from a woman caring for her widowed father to a round-the-world yachtswoman. The series ran for 6 episodes and ended on the 9th of February 1975.

Eighteen months after the legendary Liverpudlian's first foray into comedy with the highly successful Cilla's Comedy Six, ATV engaged Cilla Black for another series. Showcasing her versatility and trademark mischievous humour, Cilla's World of Comedy presented a further set of bittersweet plays focussing on the trials and tribulations of six modern women with very different lives.
