Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid is an admirable book, clear and cogent, informative and intelligent; Carter accomplishes what he explicitly set out to do. But in a fragmentary manner, recognized only partially and après coup, he goes further. The book expands the usual discussion.

Carter has been maybe the finest and most committed American President, talking about peace, a just global balance of power and a less selfish role of America in a changing world.
