Examines the inscriptions Nur al-Din (1146-74) that deal with his jihad against the Crusaders in relation to the monuments on which they were inscribed. The article concluded with an analysis of the unique jihad inscriptions on the famous pulpit that Nur al-Din endowed for the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
