Maynard Ferguson på Commons. Walter Maynard Ferguson (født 4. mai 1928, død 23. august 2006) [15] var en canadisk jazztrompetist og bandleder. Han ble først kjent i Stan Kentons orkester, før han i 1957 startet sitt eget band. Han var mest kjent for sitt formidable høye register og for sitt band, som var et springbrett for yngre talenter.

Walter Maynard Ferguson CM (May 4, 1928 – August 23, 2006) was a Canadian jazz trumpeter and bandleader. He came to prominence in Stan Kenton 's orchestra before forming his own big band in 1957.
