For the next twenty years of her ballet career, she toured the globe with her excellent company. Her performance left little girls amazed and inspired to dance just like their hero Anna Pavlova.
I shall be happy beyond measure if I succeed in this book in giving an image of Pavlova full of that spiritual beauty, for which as a woman and as an artist she was so beloved. She was married to her manager, Victor Dandré, and had no children. The couple purchased the Ivy House in London in 1912 and lived there for the rest of her life. Pavlova had a love for animals and even had a ornamental lake for her swans (her favorite was Jack). She died suddenly on January 23, 1931 in the Netherlands due to pneumonia.
