Alberta was not about to sit quietly, so she wrote the music for the Robert Altman film ‘Remember My Name’ in 1978 where she also had a walk-on part. She continued to appear in New York, played the White House and signed up to record for Columbia, producing ‘Amtrak Blues’ in 1978 and ‘The Glory of Alberta Hunter’ in 1981.
