Elizabeth of Hesse and by Rhine was a daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom. She became the wife of Grand Duke Sergei of Russia who was killed with a bomb in 1905. She was killed on 18 July 1918 day after her sister Alexandra Feodorovna by Bolsheviks on 18 July 1918.

Victoria Alberta Elisabeth Mathilde Marie was born at Windsor Castle on 5 April 1863 and was the eldest daughter of Ludwig IV, Grand Duke of Hesse, and Alice of the United Kingdom. A heavily pregnant Alice was visiting England when she went into labour and the baby princess was born in Windsor Castle in the presence of her grandmother, Queen Victoria , after whom she was named.
This is my first time posting in this subreddit, but I thoroughly enjoy the spirit of keeping the past alive. A figure I find is severely overlooked is Elisabeth of Hesse and by Rhine. Such a beautiful person inside and out. She was born November 1st, 1864 to Princess Alice of the United Kingdom and her father was Louis IV of Hesse and by Rhine.
