Richard Maibaum, född 26 maj 1909 i New York, död 4 januari 1991 i Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Kalifornien, var en amerikansk manusförfattare, producent och pjäsförfattare. Han är mest känd som författare eller medförfattare till tretton James Bond -filmer.
Richard Maibaum was born in the Bronx of New York City on May 26th, 1909. Even from a young age, Maibaum was very interested in film and theater: "As a kid, I used to sneak into theaters--risking my life to climb up fire escapes and through men's rooms, then emerging into balconies--because I liked early serials and thrillers" (McGilligan, 270).
