4 de mar. de 2015 · On August 24, 1944, Allied bombers attacked Buchenwald’s ammunition factory. Mafalda and the other cabin inmates hid in the trench. When bombs demolished the cabin, it fell over the trench. They found her alive, crushed under a pile of rubble. One side of her face was burned and her left arm was crushed and burned.
