Mechthild von der Pfalz (* 7. März 1419 im Heidelberger Schloss; † 22. August 1482 daselbst) war die Mutter Eberhards im Bart und inspirierte ihn zur Gründung der Tübinger Universität. 1436 heiratete sie Graf Ludwig I. von Württemberg. Nach dessen Tod 1450 heiratete sie am 29. September 1451 erneut, Erzherzog Albrecht VI. von Österreich.
