Harold Harefoot died on 17th March 1040 at Oxford. He was buried at the Westminster Abbey. The exact cause of the death of Harold at such a young age is unknown and it is believed that he died of a mysterious disease. Harold’s half-brother Harthacnut succeeded him after his death. Harold Harefoot was the King of England from 1035 to 1040.

Harold Harefoot. Harold Harefoot, también Harold I, ( c. 1015 - 17 de marzo de 1040) fue rey de Inglaterra de 1035 a 1040. Se decía que era hijo de Canuto el Grande, rey de Inglaterra, Dinamarca, Noruega y parte de Suecia, de su esposa Aelgifu de Northampton. Hubo escepticismo sobre su condición de hijo de Canuto.
