Countess Augusta of Reuss-Ebersdorf, born Augusta Caroline Sophie, was a member of the Reuss family and by marriage became the Duchess consort of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. Her deep religious feelings were influenced by her upbringing in Ebersdorf, a center of Pietism.

La pareja estableció su residencia en Bad-Dürkheim, en el estado de Renania-Palatinado.
