NAN BRITTON. Nanna Popham Britton was born on November 19, 1896. She grew up in the small town of Marion, Ohio. For much of her life, she was employed as a secretary and receptionist. Nan studied literature in college, but did not complete her higher education. In 1914, she began a relationship with Warren G. Harding.
